About the Golden Dawn Tradition

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was founded in London in 1888 and became the most influential Western esoteric organisation of the modern era. Its system of magic synthesised Kabbalah, astrology, alchemy, Enochian magic, and tarot into a coherent initiatory curriculum. The Rider-Waite-Smith tarot — the most widely used deck in the world — was itself a product of Golden Dawn teaching.
