Your Gateway to Tarot Knowledge

Welcome to the TarotsUK Guidebook Hub — your dedicated resource for deepening your understanding of tarot, oracle cards, and the broader world of divination. Whether you are just beginning your journey or refining a practice built over years, this is your space.

Reading the Cards

Every tarot deck tells a story through 78 cards, divided into the Major and Minor Arcana. The 22 cards of the Major Arcana represent the great archetypal forces of life — from The Fool's leap of faith to The World's completion. The 56 cards of the Minor Arcana reflect the everyday rhythms of experience across four suits: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles.

Learning to read tarot is not about memorising fixed meanings — it is about developing a living, intuitive relationship with the symbols on each card. We encourage you to sit with each card, observe what arises, and trust your own interpretation alongside traditional guidance.

Choosing Your First Deck

The right deck is the one that speaks to you. For beginners, we often recommend starting with a deck rooted in the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition, as the majority of guidebooks and learning resources reference its imagery. Browse our full collection to find the deck that calls to you.

Spreads to Get You Started

The Single Card Draw — Pull one card each morning as a daily reflection. Ask: what energy is present for me today?

The Three-Card Spread — A classic layout exploring Past, Present, and Future — or Situation, Action, and Outcome. Simple, versatile, and deeply revealing.

The Celtic Cross — A ten-card spread offering a comprehensive view of a situation, its roots, influences, hopes, and likely outcome. Ideal for deeper inquiry.

Caring for Your Deck

Your tarot deck is a personal instrument. Many readers keep their deck wrapped in a cloth or stored in a wooden box when not in use. Cleansing your deck — through moonlight, sound, or simply shuffling with intention — is a practice that helps reset its energy between readings. Above all, handle your cards with care and respect.
