The Major Arcana are a masterclass in elegant restraint. I • The Magician is a young man in a flowing white cape, one arm raised with a wand, the tools of the four suits floating around him on a warm cream ground. II • The High Priestess is a dark-skinned woman in a cream gown, arms outstretched, holding a white dove and a scroll, on a deep rose-pink ground — serene and commanding. III • The Empress is a white-haired goddess in a cream column dress, holding a wand and a sceptre crowned with a Venus symbol, a star crown on her head — pale, luminous, and utterly regal. IV • The Emperor is a dark-skinned elder in a brown robe, holding an ankh sceptre and an orb, four ram heads at the corners of his pink throne — warm, authoritative, and inclusive. V • The Hierophant is a figure in a deep rose papal robe and crown, one hand raised in blessing, holding a triple-cross staff. VI • The Lovers is two figures — a light-skinned woman with a pink flower in her hair and a dark-skinned man — cheek to cheek in soft pink clouds, angel wings visible below them. XIV • Temperance is a dark-skinned angel in a white strapless gown, eyes closed in perfect peace, wings spread, holding two pink cocktail glasses — one of the most beautiful Temperance cards in modern tarot. XIII • Death is a skeleton hand reaching down from the top of the card to hold a single pink rose on a warm peach ground — tender, poetic, and completely without fear.
The card backs are a warm blush pink with a central celestial compass design in terracotta and gold — an eight-pointed star within a circle, flanked by crescent moons, full moons, an evil eye, and scattered stars. The box is a two-tone pink design: deep rose at the top with The Gentle Heart Tarot in white serif type, blush pink below with a silhouette of a woman in a black gown, arms outstretched, rose petals floating around her.
