Blue Ocean Tarot

Dark, dramatic, and utterly distinctive — the Blue Ocean Tarot is a 78-card tarot deck that plunges the entire Rider-Waite-Smith system into the deep, churning world of the ocean. Every card is set against a matte black background with a gold ornamental border, creating a visual language that is simultaneously classic and completely contemporary.

The imagery is rich with oceanic symbolism: crashing waves, moonlit seas, tridents, sea creatures, and the eternal drama of water in all its moods. The Lovers shows two figures — blue-skinned, otherworldly — almost kissing in a swirl of deep blue waves, watched over by a full moon and flanked by winged fish, red sea anemones blooming around them. The Knight of Pentacles is an armoured knight on horseback charging through crashing ocean waves, lance raised, a golden halo behind him. The Two of Swords is a single great sword rising from the ocean before a full moon, two smaller swords flanking it — stark, powerful, and immediately readable. The Five of Pentacles shows five golden pentacles suspended above a luminous waterfall cascading into a dark sea between towering black cliffs. The Ace of Wands is a golden trident rising from the ocean at sunset, fish leaping at its base. The Six of Cups shows six blue cups arranged in a mandala wheel, each filled with ocean waves, sea creatures, and moonlight. The Five of Cups is a single great blue chalice marked with the number 5, rising from stormy waves with golden sea turtles swimming below.

The card backs are matte black with gold wave scroll borders — clean, reversible, and unmistakably Blue Ocean. The box is a stunning matte black with gold wave scrollwork and the Blue Ocean Tarot Fool — a jester in blue and gold sailing a wooden boat through crashing waves under a full moon and golden star — one of the most striking tarot box designs available.
